But annual inflation dropped to stand at 5.3 per cent up until the

London was the only area to see yearly growth in double figures,
with an inflation level of 10.6 per cent, while the south-east and
north-east also performed well.
Additionally, an average of 90,880 homes were sold on a monthly
basis during the period from September to December, Land Registry
revealed.
In Wales, the average cost of a home fell by 1.1 per cent during
Febraury, to stand at a typical price of £140,031.
And in the West Midlands, growth stood at 1.3 per cent in the some
month, the firm observed.
Another report, this time from Hometrack, has stated that house
prices fell for the sixth month in a row during March.
